SPORTS BASEMENT

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Sports Basement. With a new store open at the Stonestown Galleria, the company has created a range of offerings to help celebrate summer and encourage everyone to enjoy the sport of their choice.

Tracing its roots back to a single store in 1998, the company has grown significantly over the years. Today, Sports Basement has 10 stores; Stonestown will be number 11. The stores have become a hub for local clubs, nonprofits and businesses. More than 7,000 events a year are held around the Bay Area, translating into roughly 20 a day. Even more impressive, the company donates 10% of its earnings to the community, including local schools and nonprofits. More than $10 million have been donated over the years.

Sports Basement offers bike maintenance clinics, run and gait analysis, fun runs, bike rides, fitness classes and more. Residents can also rent bikes and camping gear. Additionally, special trips led by Sports Basement Outdoors staff will be arranged specifically for Parkmerced residents.

To celebrate the new partnership, residents will receive a special discount – 20% off – at Sports Basement prior to the store’s Grand Opening during the first week of August (valid from 8/1/21 to 8/7/21). Offer not valid on bikes, weights, services, trips or rentals.
