TIBURON SURF CLUB

Surf’s up at the The Cove

Watersports aficionados can get their adrenaline fix here with the introduction of the new Tiburon Surf Club. The brainchild of Thomas Helms, the new company will cater to residents who want to experience the thrill of trying out a range of equipment, from eFoils to the newest eJetboards.

If you’re new to the sport, the company will offer lessons so you can gain confidence and master essential skills. In the near future, Tiburon Surf Club plans to host events as well, such as a Christmas surf event. This spring they plan to offer rentals or purchase of the latest equipment such as Radlnn and Glidesoul waterwear. A water sports specific fitness program is also on the horizon.

“I’ve been doing watersports my whole life,” says Thomas, “starting with windsurfing, waterskiing and wakeboarding. I tried foiling, and eFoiling in particular, and was hooked.”

Thinking this could be the makings of a new business, Thomas approached Mac Goodhart and Rob Burns to discuss the idea of setting up a small operation at The Cove. They were enthusiastic about the idea and after a bit more refinement, Tiburon Surf Club was born.

As with any startup, the surf club is starting out small, with limited availability until about mid-September. By spring, the company will be fully operational, albeit at the whims of tides and weather that will dictate the hours they’re open.

Clients will be able to sign up on the Tiburon Surf Club at tiburonsurfclub.com. Residents and any friends who tag along will get a 15% discount by using the code THECOVE15.
