Dear Residents,
With the shelter-in-place ordinance extended through May, we have created another full roster of Community Care activities and online resources to keep you busy all month long. Here’s what’s happening this week:
New Mental Wellness Program

Monday, 4/27 – Friday, 5/1: Teddy Bear Hunt
This adventure is in full swing as bears are still hiding in our community. Take your family for a socially distanced walk around The Cove community to find all 14 bears on the map. Help us follow along by tagging your photos with @TheCoveatTiburon or using #TheCoveBearHunt in your post. Click this link for more information and to download The Cove Bear Hunt map.
Thursday, 5/7 At 6 PM: Mixology Class With Absinthe Brasserie
Join us for a virtual mixology class featuring Absinthe Brasserie’s Bar Manager, Eve Alsop-Brenner, and learn how to make two of Absinthe’s signature cocktails - The French 75 and The Mother Lode. Absinthe is one of San Francisco’s most beloved and longest-running dining institutions, focusing on creative French brasserie fare & an inspired selection of classic cocktails. We’ve prepared a list of ingredients so you can mix your cocktail alongside Eve, while also learning basic mixology techniques. Space is limited, so RSVP quickly.
Friday, 5/8 From 7-8 PM: Rockin’ Reds Virtual Wine Tasting
We’re venturing beyond Cab and Merlot with a Rockin’ Reds virtual wine tasting. Wine specialist Scott Wickham will guide you through an exploration of two types of red wine, both from California, but featuring grapes better known in Europe. All you need are wine glasses – we’ll deliver a complimentary tasting kit to your doorstep, including two bottles of wine and accessories for your tasting. Brought to you by Bacchus and Venus wine shop and Flow Tasting. Attendance is limited, so reserve your spot now!
Saturday, 5/9 From 10-11:30 AM: Celebrate Mother’s Day
We’ve selected a menu for our Mother’s Day Virtual Cook-Along geared toward kids ages 3-15! Culinary Artistas will lead a class specifically designed to be easily digestible for kids of all ages. In this class, you will learn how easy it is to make gourmet sweet & savory galettes, and free-form pies originating in France! The recipe uses ingredients likely found in your pantry. Download the grocery and equipment list here.
Virtual Fitness Classes
We continue to offer a variety of virtual fitness classes for adults and kids. These popular classes include gentle yoga, strength training, high intensity interval training, and a fun “Kids’ Fitness Camp”! You can view our weekly schedule and other activities here.
Visit Indonesia In Our Newest Armchair Vacation
This week we’re heading all the way across the Pacific Ocean to Indonesia! The Indonesian Archipelago stretches over 17,000 vast and varied islands. From the Hindu-Buddhist monuments of Borobudur to the famous Komodo dragons, countless deserted beaches and natural wonders grace this country from one island to the next. The smiles of its people are the only element that could possibly compete with the beauty of the landscape. Journey through this brilliant introduction to the diversity of Indonesia. For more travel, visit past destinations (Mexico, Italy, London, and Iceland) via our Armchair Vacations series.
Resident Blog
Honoring Our Heroes
We are all appreciative of the frontline workers keeping us healthy and safe and would like to recognize those who reside at The Cove. Contact us at community@thecoveattiburon.com if you or someone you know is doing this important work. We would love to share their story on our resident blog and honor their amazing commitment to helping others.
Celebrate Everything
Social distancing has caused many to cancel plans for weddings, birthdays, proms, graduations, and anniversaries, while others around the world have found unique alternatives to celebrate these special occasions. We’d love to hear what inventive ways our Cove residents have come up with to commemorate important milestones. Share photos of your celebrations by emailing them to community@thecoveattiburon.com and we’ll feature your creativity on our resident blog.
In community,
The Cove at Tiburon Team
