Dear Residents,

We have a full schedule of virtual community activities to help engage your body and mind this month: fitness for all ages and styles, some family fun, and cooking classes for the grownups. We’ve also secured some great deals with your local vendors – including our own neighbors.  Head over to your Community Care Portal for all the details, but here are a few of the shelter-in-place happenings in our community:

Our Virtual Fitness Studio

We’ve assembled some of our favorite teachers to lead a series of streaming fitness classes for adults - and kids too! From gentle yoga to high intensity interval training, there’s something for everyone, all month long. Here’s a peek at the current calendar. We’re adding new classes weekly, so bookmark our Activities page to stay up to date.

Spring Door Decorating Contest (Extended to Sunday April 19, 8pm)

There’s still time to join the Spring Door Decorating Contest. The deadline for submitting photos has been extended to 8pm Sunday, April 19. Join in the fun and send your photo to community@thecoveattiburon.com. The first-place winner will receive a $200 Amex gift card, 2nd place will receive a $100 card and 3rd place will receive a $50 card. Results will be announced on the Community Care Portal on Tuesday, April 21.

Teddy Bear Hunt (Last week in April)

Inspired by Michael Rosen’s popular children’s book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, we’re embarking on our own real life bear-in-a-window hunt. To join in the adventure, register at community@thecoveattiburon.com and place a teddy bear in your front window that children can see as they walk by. If you don’t have an actual teddy bear, draw or paint one. Register and set out your bears by April 24, and we’ll get you and your children set up for a bear-y fun adventure!

Date Night Virtual Cooking Class (Friday, April 24th, 5:00 – 6:00pm)

Cooking together is the new date night! Join Chef Alex from Big City Chefs in a hands-on cooking class where you’ll learn how to prepare one of the chef’s wonderfully crafted meals from scratch. We’ll even give you the recipe so you can recreate the magic at home for future date nights. Email community@thecoveattiburon.com to register.

Armchair Vacations

If you’re missing travel, get your fix with our Armchair Vacations series. This week we’re heading to jolly old England to enjoy the sights and sounds of London from the comfort of your own home. And if you missed our tours of Italy and Mexico, check them out too – no rebooking necessary.

Get Discounts and Support Your Local Economy

We’ve added more partners to our growing list of local businesses that offer discounts to our residents – including some of our very own residents. Support these companies and the local economy by taking advantage of their special offers. This week, we are featuring Domaine Rütz. They are offering Cove residents 50% off all wine, no contact delivery to your door, and 10% of all purchases are donated to the local food banks. Visit: www.domainerutz.com and use coupon code: COVE50

The People of The Cove Resident Blog

See what your neighbors are up to in our People of The Cove blog. A big thank you to Bianka Kovacs for our first blog submission! You can also contribute by sending us your story with a picture or video to share with our community. (We love getting pet updates too!)

We’re constantly adding new Shelter-In-Place activities and resources in the Community Care Portal, many of which come from resident suggestions. If you have a great idea or suggestion, please let us know.

Stay healthy and stay connected,
The Cove at Tiburon Team
