Day 14 | Harmony

Sensory Thresholds are mostly part of our genetic makeup and are deciding factors in how intensely we experience sensory stimuli from our environment.

This then results in our behaviors, habits and responses or reactions.

For example, some people love loud music while others prefer soft, quiet or gentle sounds.

Studies show that the sounds of nature can support both ends of the spectrum and help us find our own unique default comfort zone: where, when and how we operate best.

Presence Pause: Just for today create space to listen to the birds at dawn What are you sensing?

Notice what you notice and how you feel.

Remember our first post and consider how often the birds have been messengers for you.

Action: How else might you reset your Auditory System?

- Listen to calming music

- Put on headphones, keep the volume low

- Move to a quiet place

- Try sound blocking earplugs
