Letter to Residents: Notice about Rent Payments
Dear Residents,
The rapidly evolving circumstances around the COVID-19 pandemic are keeping us all on our toes. We have been fielding many questions regarding rent and leasehold obligations, and while it sometimes feels there are more questions than answers, we’d like to take this opportunity to speak directly to the entire community.
Our top priority is to ensure that our HOME is our shelter, and we want to ease some of your concerns. Some of you have been directly and materially impacted by COVID-19, which has affected your household’s ability to pay April rent. We understand that the timing of Federal benefits does not match up with this week’s rent schedule, and we are committed to working with you.
This is a complex and ever evolving situation, and as such, we have assembled a special Assistance task force of senior staff to address your questions, understand your situation, and collaborate on solutions. The Assistance task force is strictly following City guidelines (which have been changing daily), and will embrace all City, State and Federal calls for a moratorium on legal actions while we wait for the receipt of Federal benefits. Our position of community care is paramount for all of us as we come together at a time when the concept of HOME is more important than ever.
Our HOME is our shelter as we work together with compassion and understanding. For those who can meet your April obligation, it is imperative to do so as we all contribute to the healthy operation of our community during these challenging times. For those directly impacted by COVID-19, our Assistance task force is available, and can be reached at assistance@thecoveattiburon.com.
We are a community, and we will get through this together.
Stay healthy,
Fred Knapp
