THE DAY PROJECT WINE CO.

LIKE THE MILKMAN, BUT FOR ADULTS.

For generations, the milkman would dutifully stop by your home to deliver the week’s dairy, from butter and sour cream to the occasional splurge, chocolate milk.

Today, the Day Project Wine Co. has given the idea a modern spin in the form of the Roséman, who brings you delicious wines instead of milk and eggs.

For residents of Sharon Green, Parkmerced and The Cove, that means complimentary weekly delivery. Simply logon to The Day Project’s website and choose your favorites. Within a few days, the “Roséman” brings it right to your door.

Winemaker Micah Wirth knows his stuff too, growing up in a family of wine pioneers, as an apprentice his father and famed winemakers Gary Farrell and Susan Reed. Later in his career he launched the highly acclaimed and award-winning Joseph Jewell Wines and Ousterhout Wines.

The Day Project Wine Co. is something of a rarity in the wine industry. Co-created by Peter Lechowick, a resident of The Cove, the winery’s goal is not to only produce top quality, hand-crafted wines, but give back to the community.

“A portion of our profits go to support organizations that fight for women’s rights and to alleviating poverty,” says Peter. “A good example is our Special Edition Pride Rose, which we released in honor of 2020 Pride. One hundred percent of the proceeds went to the National Center for Lesbian Rights to fight for the civil and human rights of the LGBTQ community. The campaign raised $5,000 for the organization.”

The partnership with our residential communities was the brainchild of Peter and Janet Villalongja, community relations manager at Maximus who hatched the idea during a casual conversation. Initially, wine was gifted to Parkmerced’s residents as part of the Music in the Courtyard series, and now residents can enjoy additional savings on their purchases.

The winery is currently offering 25% off to residents and complimentary Roséman delivery every Friday. Take advantage and use the resident promo code THECOVE when placing your next delivery!
